Unbridled story (Part 18th) —

(Recap — In the previous episode, a description  was given about enacting some rules and regulations by the great king appertained to the usage,  safety, maintenance, possession etc of the new invention (mirror.) ….)

After a lapse of two days of that evening on which great king Montana Mustachia and ex- army chief drafted some rules and regulations about mirror; an edict to call on the “special session” of the King’s Court was announced.This session was to be attended majorly by the members of King’s Council and other dignitaries holding important seat in the King’s Court.  At the beginning of the ” special session,” the great king Montana behested his prime minister to peruse and announce the edict  that proclaimed the nomination of feudal lord Magatte promoted as the member of the “King’s Council.” After the announcement was completed, the great king signaled the ex- army chief to put up every detail before the Royal Court.

” O! Our great King upon this Earth! In pursuance to your command, I am highly obliged to intimate our distinguished members of the Royal court about a very important news. ” Ex-army chief began in his solid, staid voice. ” I do hereby inform our dignitaries of the King’s Court that the promising son-in-law of of our newly nominated member of the King’s Court, the feudal lord Magatee, has succeeded in inventing a new unique and unthinkable device, that, prior to this day of announcement did not exist any where in any nook of the Earth. Since, this rarest of rare device could not be invented without the financial aid and grooming of the feudal lord Magatee, hence for his precious support he has been obliged to be promoted as the member of the King’s Council.”

At this juncture, all the dignitaries present cheered, for this was the protocol expected from them as a token of honor to the king’s edict. All they were listening the speech with their ears pricked. The former part of the speech was enough to raise a curiosity in them, as to what kind of this unique and unthinkable invention might be! Ex-army chief now continued, ” distinguished members of the King’s Court! In addition to that, our great king too had honored this young Alchemist to raise to the significant seat of “State’s Alchemist” for his this achievement. By this proclamation, he is announced to become “Stat’s Alchemist” on wards.

Now, I am going to describe you all about that new invention. At this time, we are able to look at one another and judge, how a person present before our sight looks? But how, for example, I look to myself I can’t judge or see! To find that I have got an option. That is to look into a stable water surface contained in a container. But that image is merely a dim reflection of mine.” Here, ex-army chief paused on purpose to generate a magical effect. He remained silent for a given long  pause. Then he indicated his finger to all present in the Court and spoke, ” the experience, I am going to expatiate may sound awkward to you all, if you find to look clearly at your own image in the same way as you are looking at me or at others? Even, you can watch your side flanks  and dorsal side by the help of this invention! What kind of experiences you will feel?”

On this statement of ex-army chief, all they began to stare at the face of one another. Then a drawled discussion initiated amid them. It was obvious, hardly they could reach to some conclusion. The truth was, never before, they had any deliberation on this point. Ex-army chief proceeded , ” our this promising young Alchemist has invented the same kind of device that provides opportunity to a man to find ,” as how he looks indeed?” Our great  king and myself by standing before the device and by looking at the reflecting images of one another have experienced the authenticity of the device.  Further,  regard that device, some some rules and regulation been framed in hurry, the announcement regard promulgation is to be made by our Prime Minister after a short while.

In context to that device, our great king has decided that at the first most priority level, the opportunity to appear before the invention be provided to our distinguished members of the King’s Council. Since, numbers of King’s council is so large, hence, in accordance with seniority, in daily routine only five members be granted the opportunity to experience the device. From tomorrow on wards, at the old abode of our feudal lord Magatee ( now distinguished member of the King’s Council) the protocol begins. The other formalities of the protocol be related to you by our Prime Minister. With this as per the whim of the great King the announcement declared finished.”

After that, the Prime Minister Perused as announcement containing the main points of rules and regulations framed by the king and ex-army chief about the mirror. He also requested all dignitaries to stay for a while so he ably could announce the names of dignitaries on day wise basis of this week. The next list for coming week was to announced later on. Need not to say, merely by this declaration so many fanciful and mystical stories began to surface up. On the next day, when first most senior members of the King’s Council were supposed to arrive on the “State’s workshop,” prior to that, So many weird and amazing stories had been circulated in the “upper circle” of the Royal class. And how much time it could have consumed to afloat amid the common subjects when it was sure to be infiltered to the domestic staff of the elite class and from there to every where.

In all, yet the first most senior members of the King’s Council had not been presented to experience the new invention, before that, mouth to mouth weird publicity about the new device had been afloat in the entire air of the capital of the kingdom. And after “real experience,” the “explosive bizarre” stories too were bound to pass across the entire kingdom and beyond marches.
