It’s an admitted fact that our this world is packed with descriptions of weird kinds of things and people. Here we find innumerable examples of incidences and presence of things to get it authenticated. In our diurnal life we too happen to come across to various categories of people, who happen to behave in weird manner. Though, apparently they people may look sagacious and normal, but if you give an intent ear to their talks, then it appears that somewhere they are “off the track.” For a paradigm, now a days, the fashion of shooting reels and uploading of that all is before us. But many of them are indulged in this awkward contents making on purpose; this kind of weirdness is manipulative. People I am talking about here, they do not do all this on purpose. It’s like an outcome of a fault in their “Motherboard.”
If we make a keen observation around us, we happen to find some “fixed local spots or gathering places” in our locality for people to gossip and idle chat. There, one may find a chance to encounter with such type of “weird persons.” The behavioral pattern of these type of people make me recall of old time’s “opium den.” In that opium den,” regular customers happened to visit and consume the “opium substance” as an intoxicant. After consuming that, on coming under the spell of intemperance, they begun to behave in farcical manner. Their manner of discussion of topics were desultory, disorderly and loaded with their own kind of logic, which put them totally “off the track.” Now a days, opium den exists no more, but been replaced either by dialogues on alcohol or on a cup of tea.
Specifically, some cornered tea stall in a locality or kiosk of tea at the nook of some park are favorable spots for this kind of people to make a gathering. I ever take these kind of spots as a healthy place of entertainment to visit, hence I am a regular visitor of such places of my locality. There, I find an opportunity to meet so may “eccentric” persons. These “spots” in this gathering of people contain various kinds of categories of eccentric people. Firstly, many of them are in true sense ” unsuccessful” in their life’s journey. Unsuccessful in the sense that at the beginning of their journey of life, they had fixed some big goals to attain. Its a natural phenomenon, that occurs in the prime youth of every young man, who feels himself brimmed with energy and enthusiasm. At that juncture of age he finds the “whole world” confined into his fist.
Now, in that prime youth, he fixes some big goals to achieve; but to achieve the factors needed he lacks. These factors are determination, intelligence and diligence. In due course of life journey, men do not give the needed efforts. Simply, he is given to the proclivity of day dreaming only. A ” strong will power” is an essential component for determination and this category of people altogether lack that. When a person lacks a ” strong will power’, how he can work diligently to attain the level of “intelligence.” In a manner of speaking, every person assesses his intelligence level superior than other people. It’s in fact is an element of “misconception” about oneself. This misconception eventually brings them a failure in life, but astonishingly they are given not to admit the failure.
Often, majority of people are fallen in this category. I also belong to the same category, why I am impelled to join the group of such people as a regular visitor. Another category of people in such type of congregation is of those people who are retired employees from some government job. These people have lived the considerable span of their life as such. They begun their life a “lower division clerk” and destined to retire either as a “senior division clerk” or ” office superintendent.” Their entire life got exhausted in this drive only, but again a unique type of “misconception” gripped them all tightly. They ever live with a false conception that their ability and caliber to deal with official files were always of superior to their presiding “boss.” And this “boss” ever happened to be a gazetted officer with whom they take themselves above par.This fluke ever aches their mind and heart.
I ever find this category of people bragging in gathering, how they befooled their boss and succeeded taking his final approval on files on various occasions. They too boast of how this maneuverability fetched them good financial gain from the party concerned whom file was pending to get cleared. Third category, I found on such “spots” of independent traders, who once had grown good business but now their business was squarely wounded up. This kind of category contain down from a Panwala ( a beetle leave vendor) to a grocery owner or clothier or other businessman. Apart from them, lawyers defeated in the professional life, petty journalists and social workers I abundantly find as the part and parcel of these gathering.
Though, apart from these main categories, some other sub-categories too hover around there. The man hobby of this gathering is to discuss about the political issues and later on to focus on other issues. Now, the “subject matter”of these debate may include local ward level or colony level topics or it may in desultorily way extend to Provincial level to the National level politics. Even in specific circumstances, the focus of discussion too may contain the International politics; all this depend upon their whim.
These people initiate the dialogues firstly, that is based upon some scrap of tiding published in the daily newspaper. But after that they are at liberty to extend the topic to the infinity. As told earlier, most likely they prefer political issues, since every one of them had an affiliation to the ideology of some specific regional or national political party. ( End of the Part 1.
