God always precedes —

In this  world barring a class of Atheists, almost every one maintains a belief in the existence of the god. Now a query is, “since when man begins to follow the existence of the god?” A common place answer is, ” from the day we come to our senses.” Whether this answer is convincing one !  No, it is not.  The truth is, before recognizing the existence of god, we had been in position to identify and recognize an another entity. That entity was our “Mother.”

In the delicate infancy, when every one remains as an ignorant child, mother exists like an entity under whose protection a child feels secured from all the worries. Then, since when he begins to recognize the entity of god?” The exact answer is, ” from the day, a mother introduces the child about the existence of the god.” Every child learns primary lessons of life from his/her mother. The religious teachings and rituals endowed by a mother makes a child know for the first time about an entity known as god.

The divine theory of existence of god, a man receives generation after generation in this fashion. Here, this issue is not important, “what religion a man follows?” The names and rituals of god may be of different kinds in the different parts of the world, but it is only “mother” who introduces to a child about the entity of god. This introduction is given to generate such an impact, it decides the religious inclination of a child for his entire life. Even, it intensifies more and more, when he by himself becomes the father of his children. At that stage, the divine principle about the god would have shaped concretely into his mind. So that, he tends to believe that god always is there to help him directly or indirectly at every stage of life.

Often man is destined to confront the problems leading to failures and disappointment in life. The anticipated affirmative results of some efforts given are not always generated; even he may face some loss in negative. In such situation, some people begin to blame the god for failures, but at last, on becoming tired, they too tend to console themselves, ” perhaps, it was the will of the god.” Whether it’s “win or loss,” man always seeks refuse under the patronage of the god. The harsh experiences of life ably teach the man, “ the life always does not mean sailing in safe and comfortable boat.” The element of felicity is a blessed food that a person finds only after hardship and with given efforts. Only then it exhilarates some one.  There goes a saying, ” happiness in the life is like green patches in the desert.”

And look into an amazing fact, how deeply, the divine theory of god is connected to the life of man. Just this paradigm may explain it. Up to a certain stage of life, we remain deeply attached to our parents. Later on, a time comes in life when we own our own children. Now our attachment diverts to the children more and more. Since we are under obligation towards them and become engaged there. In this process, we hardly notice that now we have begun to neglect our old parents gradually. We are not giving them the proper time they need or desire from us.

In a way, this is symbolic of our distracting emotional sensitivity towards them. Now we move to the next stage of this paradigm. After the demise of parents, we try to keep their photographs as “memento” and recall them occasionally. In this sequence, we notice, in the same way, our parents too had kept the photographs of their passed away parents in safe custody as memento. Not only this, they too had made us acquaint with ancestors names to get committed to our memory as grand parents.

If in this line, we look back and try to recall the names of our great grand father and great great grand fathers, it begins to confuse us. After some generations of ancestors,  we become unable to recollect their names. Even, if in a family, a record of pedigree is maintained properly, the names of ancestors sound just name only to the present generation. They don’t feel any emotional attachment with passed away generation, as they happen to feel with their biological parents. What this all is? Why this phenomenon of filial attachment extenuates?  But contrary to this, with the growing of age, every one feels, his attachment and faith with the god is growing richer!

It is the same god, who exists for the present generation and in yesteryears existed for parents and ancestors with the same strong intensity. All these generations passed their life with devotion and dedication to this god. Here, amazing fact is, in every generation, the existence of god was introduced to children by mother in all probabilities. Mother as such gave the religious education and Sanskara. The same child is unable to recollect the names of his great great grand parents or intends not to remember, but always keeps god into his mind! What conclusion it draws out?

It reveals that god always remains existent in every generation and will remain forever, generation after generations and so on. The god who was never seen by any one becomes eternal. Rest of people, be they parents or others, all they move into backstage and put to oblivion after a lapse of time. Meant, god always precedes others. Penned by — Vinay Pharasi —–
