An another aspect of human memory —

Although, long ago, I have already penned down a blog about the subject of “memory.” Since, every subject is supposed to contain various aspects about its description. This causes a problem to include all those aspects in a single blog. In that blog, I majorly focused about the types of the memory. Those types, I described under the heads of Active memory, passive memory, short term memory, long term memory and selective memory etc. By the peculiar phenomenon is, our every activity is commanded, directed and controlled by our brain, but still the “structure of brain” is a unsolved riddle to man. Be it a psychiatrist, psychologist or medical researcher, still a long way off man has to go in this  mystic field.

Despite a very long endurance of our efforts in this research, still we are fumbling in the dark. It often surfaces up that human psychology proclaims a theory but on the same point biological study happens to postulate  different principles. In total, an entertaining situation we enjoy regard this. Some erudites claim, the very day man reaches at the stage of disclosing the entire riddle of working pattern of the brain, on that very day, the human existence may come to an end. To them, “the structure of brain” is a riddle created by the Almighty god, who proclaims “to know thyself.” The very day, man is supposed to “know thyself” entirely, he will be in a position to replace the “god’s entity. AND god will  never permit this to occur.

Well, that day is far off. If we human beings rely on our own postulated hypothesis  of “change of Eon,” which takes place in hundreds of thousand  years as a must, it is supposed, on reaching every civilization at an acme, that was doomed to annihilate. Almost, in every old religious scripture, the concept of “great flood’ is described for this annihilation. That great flood destroys everything and again from a “naught” a new universe begins to take afresh shape.

Why is that? There surfaces up a possible answer. After reaching onto an acme, man is about to solve the riddle of brain’s structure and there only god demolishes everything  to a nullity. Since god is not willing that the “key to the mystery” of “structure of human brain” should come in the hands of human beings. He allows only a civilization to rise to a certain height and after that annihilates it. In a way, this purports, to solve the working pattern of “structure of brain,” entirely is the way to “meet in person” to the god and it seems an unpardonable offence to take over the seat of the god. This concept is social as well as theological.

In the same context, I am trying to describe the aspect of memory (that pertains to brain also.) The medical science says, when a  child comes in this world, at that stage his brain is like a “blank slate.” Brain has got a working pattern. This process contains encoding, storage and retrieval or recalling. Recalling comes up as a helpful instrument in shape of memory. Now, a child whose mind is in a state of “blank slate,” when rears up in a particular given ambiance, he is supposed to go through encoding, storage and recalling process. It includes every thing like visuals, sounds, odors, touch, taste and all kinds of knowledge, he encounters in life.

In his life, through the process of recalling he takes decisions accordingly as per the situation required with the growing of age in shape of adaptation. Here comes a glitch. For instance,  a child, who had had no family history of educational background or have had no mechanical back ground, by chance visits a motor-bike repair shop. There, from a distance he watches the mechanic repairing the bike. This he is doing for the first time in the life. And in his first and only observation he comprehends everything minutely and adroitly. If he is provided an opportunity, he ably can repair the same fault of the bike.

Here, it shall be argued, his encoding and storage was of intense degrees. But this kind of “miracle” happens one in thousands, otherwise in learning the same skill it consumes months or year for others. Here only the another aspect of brain in shape of memory comes up, that is mysterious. In general, a child of a mechanic can become a good mechanic. Likely to that, the child of a doctor is expected to become a doctor.  The DNA  theory counts here. But a child, who lacks that kind of background entirely, how come grasps this all?

Now a question may be put up. Many people become doctor and engineer without having any family history. I agree to this notion. But to become a doctor or an engineer was the aim of their life and they made intelligent efforts with diligence for that purpose. They didn’t qualify to become doctor or engineer by just reading books once in life. This kind of children are given the name as “prodigious” one. But how come this kind of children become prodigious one? Here, a cursory encoding sent everything into the storage. No doubt, he will resort to the recalling process. But why this access “singularly” to one child out of thousands?

Another instance, in a crowd of million, one person contemplates quite “off the track” and postulates a thesis of that is unique. This postulation is quite anew and it was never in the storage of the mind. This may be argued, it was an outcome of synthesis of innumerable thoughts already stored in the mind. But whether this argument is sustainable? Another paradigm is about the space science and it’s on records. In the modern time, first space rocket was sent by Russia. It is obvious, Russia never exchanged or shared that technology with USA. Despite of this, USA also succeeded in sending her rocket ship after few years by her own. How?

Here, a godly theory propounds. This theory, collectively by scientists and thinkers is given the name of “Cosmic Theory.” This theory announces, every kind of the knowledge is already dispersed in this Universe. Only some prodigious minds can receive those signals of knowledge. Here, the concept of memory doesn’t apply at the first instance, but the ultra-developed receptacles of some brains capture the signals and formulate that in shape of new inventions. Here, the medical science’s theory of “Eugenics” also doesn’t work. Eugenic works upon the chromosome theory. Chromosomes are responsible for the transfer of characteristics of one person to his next generation as a part and parcel of DNA.

This unique feature of brain is still mysterious. In a way, it works on the principles of working pattern of brain by receiving signals and encodes them. Afterward, decodes and formulates them. But how it happens, it’s in a fog! We can’t keep it in the category of the memory. The another prototype of this receiving of signals is through “meditation” of Hindu spiritualism. In meditation, one happens to go in next phase of “astral travelling.” This helps our brain to come in harmony with the mysterious Universe and capture anew and ancient things.
