Unbridled story (Part 10th)—

(Recap– In the last going part of the story, we  came to know, how young alchemist succeeded in getting riddance from the horrendous thoughts that had infested his mind badly, when he happened to experience his first time encounter with his own image in his newly invented article ‘the mirror”………. )

Upon getting riddance from the false impression of his mental imagination about his new invention and on coming to know the exact prospective of the properties of mirror, this new vista kept on fascinating the mental set up of the young Alchemist for many days to come. But as it often occurs with every one, gradually man begins to resume  to his normal and formal innate state of mind. On reaching back to the normalcy stage, he began to ponder about the futuristic utility of his new invention. Along with, he kept on preparing various pieces of his new invention (mirror) in different shape and sizes.

The first most idea about the utility of the mirror that cluck his mind was, it could be helpful in improving one’s own person. It might help to present a person before others to look more smarter and appealing. Prior to this invention, he happened to comb his hair in a guessing manner. At that time, the family barber happened  to give a shaving cut to his beard. Now an idea flashed into his mind to give more presentable style to comb his hair by looking into the mirror. Besides, the same idea generated second idea about giving shape to his beard and mustache without any external help.

Now, with a given practice he too could begin to shave his beard in daily routine. This also provided him an opportunity to apply hands in giving different fashionable beard style in an experimental way. This helped producing a great change in his facial looks and as a whole in his first appearance. This fortnightly days, he would appear daily clean shaved in public  but in next fortnight his appearance would be with properly trimmed, dense beard tuft around his chin. This instant looks was surprising for other onlookers. Mirror also helped him to attire properly and according to the demand of the day. Now his daily looks were changing and quite bright and unique in the public domain.

This was the time when a report about the drastic changes in his appearance were sent to the EX-Army Chief by his secret agents. Upon receiving the report, the Ex-Army Chief clandestinely had taken into confidence the family barber of the feudal Lord Magatee ( entrusted with hair doing and shaving of young Alchemist as a family member.) Ex- Chief intended to know whether barber was giving him this looks. But barber elicited his ignorance regard that. This made Ex-Chief to opine his fear to great king Montana that probably alchemist had captivated some ghost, who was helping his enormously.

What a great coincidence it was! Ex-Army Chief was taking it as an act being helpful by some ghost to Alchemist. On the same, on the first time experience of finding reflection of his own image, Alchemist too was infested with the same thought that coincidentally he had invoked some ghost into his workshop! Whilst both were wrong indeed. But often, the incredulous mind assailed by the prevailing incredible stories of ghost existence begin to think about the superstitions easily. Despite all this, Alchemist now had plunged deep into his new invention with a clean, scientific mind. He already had prepared various pieces of mirror of different shape and sizes.

In his new experimental efforts to look into his both frontal and posterior side bodily profile simultaneously, now he made to stand two large size mirror sheets; one in front side and another on his back side on different table top. There he watched his images with different poses. Sometimes he was erect in position, at next half bent then bent to one side flank of the body etc. Even he craned his neck on different angles. Outcome were outrageously miraculous to him. In single attempt he could watch his both sides body profile. Along with, he found the result that on fixing the mirrors as such, the multiple images begun to float in both the mirrors.

Not this only, in the process of coating the back side of glass sheet during making of mirror, by mistake there occurred some changes. The coating on some new pieces became uneven, resulting in producing distorting images in reflection of face and body posture. In some cases it was like a laughing stock, in other it was horrific as well. To Alchemist, every new experiment was a part of entertainment. But one phenomenon were the same, as it was in the beginning. Whenever, his pet dog happened to come before the mirror, he would become aggressive on encountering his own image. Sometimes dog tried to find the the strange dog behind the mirror screen in vain.The dog’s such activity too would be delightful for Alchemist.

Till now, the mental setup of alchemist had resumed to a stable condition. A feeling again surging strongly inside him that he should now relate his success story to his wife. It had some reasons too. Firstly, he cherished a wish, his wife too should be benefited by this invention to excel her make up by her own. Secondly, his own experienced eyes too had noticed that his wife now a days was keenly watching the changes in her husband’s appearance. It was creating a “jealous’ doubt in her mind, some how, some one was behind all these changes in the deportment of her husband. And this ” some one” in the mind of a wife could only be ” some other woman” only. It was an explosive situation.

Alchemist had a strong yearning to share his success story with his wife but he too was in “want’ of a secured passage.The secured passage he meant, he intended, still for some days to come, the information about his new invention should not be leaked out. Even he was inclined let this news be not filtered out to his mother in law through his wife. In fact, he needed a “right opportunity” to announce the success story publicly on a proper time through proper “channel.” That “channel” he already have had in shape of his influential father-in-law. feudal Lord Magatee. Now in spare time his mind begun to remain focused, how to relate the story with his wife, so she can contain the news to herself only. His bubbling, joyous mind was impelling him to tell the truth to the wife but at some nook of heart the ” insecurity” too overlapped the idea. Then suddenly an idea flashed into is mind.
