Talent of Indian men in speaking a lie —

In this world, every one is given to the habit to tell a lie, be it men or women. The initial principle of “lie” sounds cogently in consonance to the maxim, ” necessity is the mother of the invention.” Though, this maxim was not coined in reference to this “art of speaking of lie.” But it can be accepted to some extent in this regard. In this blog, the “talent of Indian men …… ” can not be covered in detail in all aspects. Hence some specific parts of diurnal life are being covered here only.The most significant one of them is ” married life and personal love-life as a bachelor.” Firstly I would focus on “love affairs or court ship” and then on the topic “arranged marriage.” My sheer attempt is just to narrate, how an Indian man explicitly display his “talent of speaking lie” through these citations.

                                                     Love-affairs or courtship

No any “love affair” can be initiated without praising falsely  a woman. An adroit male knows this fact deep down to the core of his heart. He already prepares himself for this and knows, he is bound to quote so many “expressions” in false praise of a woman. The interesting fact in this drive is, he does so for he is aware of the nature of woman that ” a woman prefers to hear false and magnanimous praise about herself.” Further, the more interesting fact in this scenario is, “the same woman knows that she is being flattered falsely.” But the false praise exhilarates her. Perhaps, the psyche behind this is the element of sycophancy. Every one likes buttering.

In our India, marriages are fixed in two major categories. One is “love marriage” and another falls in the category of “arranged marriage.” In this second category, parents and kith play a significant role in match making. Firstly we come to the category of “love marriage.” To solemnize a love marriage, essential ingredient is the existence of a love-affair. And to run an engine of love affair smoothly, the fuel of “false praise” is needed to stoke in the furnace of the love life’s engine. It is an utmost needed element to enthrall a woman. Here we can acknowledge the dexterity of  a man, how he woos his partner. To judge it, just you have to go through the contents of the messages sent to his female partner. (Not long ago, when android phone were not introduced, the love letters were delivered through post or by hands only.)

In every such love message (in old time’s love letters,) you certainly will find the heavy dose of “false praise” in description of beauty and qualities of female, which woman in fact doesn’t possess. Here woman partner too is aware that she is not in possession of these attributes; but every woman fosters a wish to look charming and cute hence it exhilarates her. In case, if woman partner is somewhat beautiful, such messages helps to adorn her with extra Ora. These phrases of “false praise” are the same syntax of love saturated words that have been used from last many centuries by loving men.

These love syntax been repeatedly used by the men of every generation. Just he strings the same thing with chosen words into a new thread. Here are some examples.  “O! My heart! you possess the marvelous eyes deeper than a lake.  Your voice sounds sweeter than than a cuckoo. Your elegant gait is toxic like a hind, etc. ” In fact, the woman being praised is in possession of eyes like a vulture, she croaks like a frog in real life and her gait certainly is in semblance to a fox or ostrich. She may not be in possession of any quality regard house hold affairs; but man certainly and in absolute false praise is bound to mention the exaggerated description.

                                                                   After effect

The woman partner, in spree of felicity of love will accept that all too. On the same, after solemnization of marriage, when honeymoon period is over, the same man begins to carp all faults in the same woman. This fault finding is often real in sense but distracts the woman, since still she is living in hangover of love life. In consequence, a domestic quarrel takes place and turns up into a nuisance and helps generate a daily entertaining soap opera for neighbors. Not only this, the another fact that fuels on the strife is, during the courtship, man as an expert liar too had magnified his personal attributes as that of a man with aesthetic sense with a sound finance position, but proven no where.

Naturally, all these lies man had spoken with a confidence. Since, higher the level of confidence in speaking a lie, a high degree of effect it helped generate into the heart and mind of the woman. Secondly,  Man knows it well, what so ever, a woman partner you can treat as a fool, but in the nook of her heart and mind, she consents to marry a man only when she is assured about the financial security of her future.  Hence this lie in exaggerated form is always spoken by the man about his sound financial position.

                                                      Arranged marriage

Likely to this, the same kind of “lie” is spoken in the category of “arranged marriage.” Here, man as a prospective groom boasts about his position before the prospective bride. In our India, there goes a saying, “no marriage or match making can be fixed without telling  lie about the prospective spouse.” Here also, man boasts too much about himself, but after marriage, in all certainties woman comes to know about the “shattered position” of her man. This situation too gives rise to the same type of domestic quarrel, as that occurs in “love marriage” based on false propaganda. Here also, daily strife produces the daily entertaining nuisance for neighbors.

                                           Noteworthy talent of some men

Interesting to me, one utmost noteworthy category of “liar,” I found about some notorious husbands. This “class” of husband are given to get indulged in post-marital affairs essentially. But on the occasion of birthday of wife and on the date of marriage anniversary, the quotes shared by them on social media are the great example of talent of telling a lie. They share shrewdly such a befitting and befooling posts in social media addressing to their wife.

Finding this kind of posts shared by husband, their naive wives get instilled with a new and fresh bond of love for such husband and doomed to get thralled by the contents of posts. I personally know so many such kind of backslide husbands who at  a time are entangled  with many women in post-marital affairs. But on the date of marriage anniversary or on the birthday, they don’t forget to share a post added with a pic, in which they are looking at their wife with a transporting demeanor, their eyes soaked with love. And caption runs as follows,  ” My beloved soul mate, had you not been in my life, this life was vain to me. Or “on finding you as a life partner my life has attained a completeness” or ” it’s your presence in my life, that enlightens it like a paradise.”
